SAUTER Controls

As a member of the SAUTER Group, Sirus UK provide building controls, peripheral equipment, expertise and solutions for building management and room automation. Modulo 6, the new building automation system from SAUTER, combines maximum performance with IoT architecture.

The future of building management systems in the age of the Internet of Things (IoT) demands reliable, very fast processing of large data quantities using devices of very small dimensions.

The new generation of SAUTER automation stations are designed for precisely these challenges: modulo 6 provides unequalled performance in terms of data points per automation station, memory space and processing speed – all of this while taking up minimum space in the cabinet.

The design and flexibility of SAUTER modulo 6 enables the provision of customised performance at optimised overall costs. From single-room control to a networked, globally distributed building cluster.

modulo 6 connects via Bluetooth to a smartphone or tablet. An intuitively operated app enables access to measured values, control variables and system parameters. As an alternative to smartphone operation, modulo 6 also has a local operating unit (LOI) with a high-resolution graphical colour display.

modulo 6 is compatible the specialised communication protocols of the systems for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, lighting and energy (BACnet/IP, BACnet MS/TP, MQTT, Modbus, KNX, DALI, M-Bus, etc).

As buildings are being connected to the Internet of Things and the cloud, the security of systems and networks is becoming a major challenge. modulo 6 had this protection built-in from the outset.

The automation station offers integrated network separation for internet and building technology. The encryption, authentication and access protection is now guaranteed by state-of-the-art technologies (TLS, IEC802.1X, etc.) and is soon to be ensured by the new “BACnet SC” (BACnet Secure Connect) security standard.

The modulo 6 security concept is based on the new international standard for Cyber Security for Industrial Automation, IEC 62443, and defines the achieved security level for networks and system components. We also provide recommendations for additional measures with which the security level can be increased.

Features of SAUTER Vision Centre

Building Management Plus

SAUTER Vision Center does more than just performing the conventional tasks of a building management system, such as visualisation, monitoring, logging and controlling installations. The solution also supports your energy and maintenance management. Thus it fulfils the high demands of investors, owners and operators for energy- and cost-efficient operation.

Standard across platforms

As a web-based building management solution in the HTML5 standard, SAUTER Vision Center can be used with any operating system and therefore practically every internet browser, whether it is Linux, Unix, iOS, Android or Windows without additional apps or plug-ins. With the certified BACnet client, virtually all devices and information sources in a building can be connected.

The user-friendly design of SAUTER Vision Center makes it easy to operate. A mouse-click or a tap on the touchscreen takes users intuitively to all visualisation and operating functions. Live data and historical charts can be accessed directly from the system diagram. Overviews of room comfort, energy consumption and a range of other key figures highlight the potential for optimisation.
