Qualified BMS at Solid Dose Development
Sirus was tasked with implementing the BEMS system at the Sanofi (formerly Genzyme) Solid Dose Development facility. The packaging facilities at Sanofi Waterford were expanded to incorporate a new automated line for Sanofi products, primarily focused on the packaging of sachet dosage forms.
The packaging facilities currently contain two high-speed bottle filling, labelling and cartoning lines to support their tablet packaging requirements. These lines are responsible for the packaging of Sanofi phosphate binder products Renegal and Renvela to meet global requirements.
To meet the expansion requirements for the production facility Sirus implemented the following:
- A Qualified BMS (QBMS) control panel
- 1 production Air Handling Unit (AHU)
- VSD’s connected to a dedicated communication network
- New TX I/O Systems installed
Sirus successfully delivered design and installation of the job with tight timelines to facilitate early production for Sanofi.
